It’s cold. The days are shorter. Come 3:00pm we’re already daydreaming about our bed. We’ve got our portable heaters on full blast, and nothing sounds better than Netflix, a fuzzy blanket, and maybe even some hot chocolate.
But … we should probably workout.
Don’t wait until New Year’s to recommit to working out. Here are some tips and tricks to get you through even the coldest of winters and the most tempting of blankets.
Bring A Buddy
Sometimes, it’s just hard to do things on your own without a little nudge from a friend. Double points for being accountable for each other. Nothing like running an indoor track, or going up a rock wall with a partner by your side.
Set Out Your Workout Clothes Early
Whether you’re working out early in the morning or after work (or even during the workday), make sure to set out and pack your workout gear early. Having your gear already set out gives most of us an extra incentive to follow through!
Exclusive Netflix Shows
What we like to do is pick a show (i.e. Jane the Virgin) and watch exclusively while working out. Whether you’re at home doing crunches and wall-sits or at the gym on the treadmill, having something set aside specifically for working out gives you something to look forward to.
Wear Cute Winter Inspired Gear
Whether it’s the Peached Logo Hoodie from Ivy Park or the Scuba IV Hoodie from Lululemon, having a cute outfit specifically for working out gives us extra motivation to get out there and do our thing.
